What persists between deployments?
The official DMZ overview describes an Active Duty menu at the FOB. It lets players create a roster of Operators, each with a persistent backpack, loadout and progression across deployments. Persistent progression does not mean every item is protected: the same overview warns that failed extraction can lose recovered equipment and resources.
Trait Points and three Trait Trees
Missions award Trait Points for investment across three Trait Trees. The overview names combat, infiltration, looting, recovery and resource gathering as areas where passive benefits can shape an Operator. It does not publish a complete node list or describe an optimal allocation.
What to check before investing
The following is an editorial research checklist, not a confirmed upgrade sequence:
- Read the actual node description before choosing a specialization.
- Compare its stated benefit with the objective you intend to pursue.
- Check prerequisites and any respec rules in the current game interface.
Trait names, point costs, respec rules and unlock thresholds: TBA. No allocation is labelled best without a verified node dataset.
Connect progression with preparation
Use the FOB guide for preparation services, the mission types briefing for activity categories and the Hajin overview for named regions. The loadout hub keeps unknown weapon statistics separate from official progression information.
